Connectivity
T1 and T3
Our Dedicated Internet Access (leased line) service
provides a complete
solution for connecting businesses to the Internet via high speed dedicated
links. A T1 transfers data at the rate of 1.544 Mbps, and provides the
bandwidth necessary for private e-mail to every computer on your network, as
well as streaming audio/video and a Web server. T3 lines are also
available. For a quote on a leased line, phone our NOC at 1-510-782-6825.
Allow up to three business days to receive your quote.

Dedicated Dial-up Connection
If ISDN or T1-T3 connectivity is beyond your budget, we
offer dedicated dial-up which works like our regular dial-up, except that
you are entitled to remain connected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (regular
dial-up accounts have a designated idle timeout).
ISDN
ISDN requires a special ISDN modem and an ISDN line with Pac
Bell. It is an older approach to higher speed connectivity, but businesses
do pay a per-minute charge to their phone companies to use ISDN.
Shotgun
Shotgun is a technique which synchronizes two modems over two phone lines to
increase available bandwidth, therefore increasing the speed. It requires
two dial-up accounts with the same user name, and, obviously, two phone
lines and two modems.
