I suppose it makes sense that the longer our pancreas is around, the less and less insulin it will make. And you've had cfrd for a while longer than me. Right now I have enough of a basal rate to keep my A1C in check, but I have noticed a slight increase over the years in my fasting blood sugars.
Bingo, what is your units of insulin to carbs ratio? I'm just curious. I've heard that most people with cfrd give themselves 1 unit of fast acting insulin per 18-20 grams of carbs.
Also, maybe I was a bit hasty to imply that we don't receive any nerve damage at all, because I know we do, just not as severely as one with type 1 or ill managed type 2.
