Thank you all for responding with such detail to my friend and colleague Leslie. I just got back from her presentation, into which she incorporated much of the information that you gave her, and it was very powerful. All faculty in attendance were able to see both positive and negative examples of faculty support and accommodation, and I think it really helped everyone to think more deeply about those issues in their own classrooms. Leslie plans to launch a Master's degree at the University of La Verne for those wishing to specialize in teaching medically fragile children.
I haven't been on this board in forever, but please know that I do think often of my friends in the CF community (and in fact had the good fortune of seeing Ana and Isa this past weekend,) and always reflect lovingly on my friends and on my time at camps and retreats.
