Anytime I'm in the front seat of the car or near a power plug, I take the battery off the Trek and plug the machine in. The reason for removing the battery is that I fried a one by having the whole thing (battery & machine) plugged in to the cigarette lighter and running when I turned off the car. There must have been a power surge through the lighter plug and zap! my battery was dead. I tried it several times in the house and it was a goner.
I really like the Trek. It's small, light weight and uses the same Pari nebs most of us use at home. The MicroAir is great too, even lighter and smaller!
