I'm in a serious relationship, and the topic of having children has surfaced. The guy that I'm with is unable to have children to due a genetic malfunction. Which, of course means, that if he and I decide to have children, we will either adopt or attempt in vitro fertilization, or something of that nature. I've scheduled a few appointments with my CF doc and the female docs, but I wanted to see if anyone knew what the chances are that I would be healthy enough to undergo such procedures. My case of CF is fairly mild, no real complications except my digestion. My lungs cause issues about 2x a year...low vitamin levels, etc., but I know that there are risks, which include my health and the possible babys.
