I have successfully treated a sinus infection with the Nasoneb. It's a very disgusting process if you think about it too much. I tried the PARI SinuStar, which is a nebulizer with nose holes. It didn't do anything.
I got my ceftaz compounded by ASL pharmacy in Los Angeles. They sent me 28 vials at a time (must be refrigerated). I did the NasoNeb twice a day for 4 weeks. I was able to get rid of that icky green infected goo that was coming out of my sinuses. I could still use a surgery, but I haven't been to the ENT to confirm that.
The Nasoneb works as a sinus lavage. So you add the compounded ceftazidime (why I couldn't reconstitute this myself at home is beyond me b/c I do it all the time with meropenum to inhale). Anyway, I added 1 vial of 0.9% saline, the pink vials, I think it is 5mL. I added that to 1 vial (1 or 2mL) of antibiotic solution and then I snorted it for about 5 minutes, until it was gone.
If you look up the NasoNeb you will get a better idea of how this works. You stick the prongs inside your nose and then you turn it on. You snort the solution, then swallow it. Snort, swallow, repeat for 5 minutes. It's totally disgusting b/c you are snorting and swallowing solution that has been up your nose and fallen back down into the NasoNeb chamber but if you don't think about that part, it's ok.
I also rinse with a Neilmed sinus rinse. I add one salt packet and on vial of pulmicort. I don't know if the pulmicort helps, but I add it anyway b/c I have such trouble with inflammation.

Good luck.
