Brother is doing great! came home last year, trying to find a job and going to school! thanks for asking :)

My dr is considering putting me in a family study with CF relatives, in relation to their genetic mutations. should be exciting! :) Adding you to facebook now !

: I know I have the 1717something or other dash thingy. *shrug*. I've never paid too much attention to the numbers. After all, they're just numbers on a page at this point. When they start doing more designer drugs (similar to the VX-770 that's headed to Phase 3 testing) your mutation won't really mean much. Once they can design certain drugs for certain defects, your specific defect will come into play. The differences are mostly related to where the defect is in the chloride channel. If it's a "bad" one, it's lower down, does more damage and is harder to fix. If it's a "mild" one, the defect is smaller, higher up and can be fixed easier with gene therapy.

: How have you been? How's your brother (he was being shipped out, the last I heard).
