I take 200mg Diflucan once a week when I'm only on zithromax. I notice that taking 250mg zithro daily is worse for vaginal yeast than 500mg Mon, Weds, Friday. So I stick with the M,W,F routine and I take my diflucan once a week.
When I go on IV antibiotics I increase the diflucan to every third day. It helps. If that doesn't work, I take a 7 day course of Monistat anti fungal cream.
Sometimes I stop the zithro all together for a month at a time to just "reset" the vaginal bacteria.
Eating yogurt (it has probiotics) is supposed to help, but it's never helped me. Taking probiotic pills are also supposed to help, but they have never helped me.
