Net Express was the first computer store to conduct business exclusively on the
Internet. In 1989, students at U.C. Berkeley opened Net Express as an non-profit,
academic, computer co-op. Our mission was to supply academic researchers and engineers
with the best Unix and Unix Clone workstations and servers based on low-cost, commodity
x86 hardware. Our quest was to develop clone x86 boxes that could eventually compete with
products from SUN, SGI and DEC at a fraction of the cost. As the Internet became
increasing commercialized in the early 1990's we evolved into a commercial entity. In
addition we added many Internet server product lines for industrial telecom applications.
Our current product line includes a variety of servers and workstations which are
available preloaded with UNIX, UNIX clones and Windows NT. We are now a leading supplier
of high-end Linux workstation and servers for universities, government agencies,
scientific research institutions and Internet Service providers. We emphasize the
synthesis of high quality, high performance components.
The majority of our business is conducted via PO's.
We accept purchase orders from:

- Approved Corporations

or AMEX) or prepayment
- Net terms are available to all Universities, Public Schools and Government agencies.
Corporations, non-profit organizations and private schools may establish Net terms
by faxing over three credit references and bank information to (510)887-4380
or by calling (510)887-4395. (Accounts on
probation for excessive late payments may be subject to a 2% fee per month on PO's -or-
may be put on credit hold).

Warranty:
Our primary mission is to supply integrated workstations and
servers to scientists and engineers at governmental and academic research agencies in
addition to serving the telecom industry (ISP's). Thus the majority of our business is
conducted via purchase orders. However, we are happy to offer products to the public at
large.
We accept COD and prepaid orders from:
- Individuals
- Private companies
- Corporations not qualifying for NET terms
- Private Organizations not qualifying for terms.
Terms:
- Federal Express COD for Cashier's Check or Money Order: Please prepare a cashier's check
or money order made payable to Net Express. Federal Express will deliver the package and
collect your COD payment.
- Prepayment is also accepted
- Credit Cards: fax, email or call in your credit card information

names (or part numbers) of the products you wish to order. Subtotal the prices. You may
calculate the shipping based on our FedEx rate schedule -or-
if you leave the shipping blank we will calculate the shipping for you. We will e-mail you
a total and a FedEx tracking number after we receive your order. If an item is out of
stock or a price is not current we will notify you by e-mail.
- There are no discounts nor volume pricing schedules. The total price of an order is
simply the sum of the parts plus the shipping. The total price of a system is also the sum
of its parts.
- There is no minimum purchase for previous clients nor for clients purchasing via
approved purchase orders (see above). There is a minimum purchase for first time clients
who prepay or pay by COD. The minimum allows us to control our order volume and keep the
order queue under control. This amount varies depending on how busy we are. The current
minimum is currently set to: $1000. This minimum is waved for
first time buyers purchasing at least one item from our sale page.
