Next Meeting - February 16 at 6:30 pm:
Dr. Bradshaw from teh School District will be speaking about the standardized
test scores and how they relate to Schafer Park. It is important to
come and learn how Schafer Park is doing and what direction we are going.
Are yo uhappy with your child's grades? Is there room for improvement?
Do you understand what average is? Below average? How can we
help our children achieve academically? By asking questions, that's
how. Become informed and understand test scores. Bring your child's
test scores! We will provide child care.
President steps down temporarily: Due to family circumstances, Mrs. Brenner, the PTC president, has stepped down temporarily. She will be back soon!
Rainforest fund raising! The first order for T-shirts has gone out! The next order is due March first. Don't get left out. Information has been sent home, so please have your child participate and remember $1.00 will go to our science program.
Spaghetti and Jazz Evening: How exciting! Friday, March 18th, one of our own parents, Mr. Mark Foglia, his band, and our very own Mr. MacFarlane (fifth and sixth grade teacher) will be delighting us with an evening of Jazz. You don't have to cook that night! Come and have some Spaghetti with family and friends! All proceeds will benefit our students. More information to come early in March!
International Dessert Night! On Thursday, April 14th, Schafer Park students will perform beautiful dances from all around the world! Famillies will provide the desserts. Mark your calendars!
March 9 Meeting: On Wednesday, March ninth, we will be planning the events of the end of the year.
Box Tops for Education: Do you still have some at home? Send them to your child's classroom! Every coupon is worth ten cents!! You will be helping out our library and our computer lab.
New Sign: The sign has been redelivered. Due to a misspelling in the school's name, it is waiting for a new faceplate. It is hoped that it wil be ready for installation by the middle of March. The sign has afour-foot skirt and is 4 by 8 feet, two sided and it will be lit.
