Schafer Park PTC Introduces Professor Francisco Zermeño! Professor Francisco Zermeño is a Spanish professor for Chabot College and a well-known member in our community and has first hand experience of what it means to be a success and how to help our kids get the most of their education. Now is when we need to learn, unite and inform ourselves on how can we help our children on the road to college and a successful life! We hope to see you there, November 17th at 7:00 p.m.

QSP/Catalog Fundraiser: We want to thank everyone who participated in this fundraiser and all of those students, parents, teachers and staff that helped to accumulate and gather the orders; you all are great! We need our teacher and staff support at the school and we do appreciate those that help out! The reason we are raising money is to help supplement the money from the district in an effort to help all of our Schafer Park kids and families. We want to assist in improving the lives of our kids in the educational arena and will do anything to assist the school in helping our kids achieve their goals. The fundraiser brought in a total of $14,661.00. Prizes will be awarded to the class that brought in the most money and the students in both primary and intermediate levels that brought in the most sales.

PTC Donations: The donation drive has come to an end for tabulation; however feel free to donate whenever you are able to help the PTC with its mission.

Goals - Perfect Attendance: Dog tags will be distributed to the kids who have perfect attendance for the first trimester, which will end November 19th. We will gather the information and distribute these some time in December. Those students who receive “Outstanding Attendance,” will receive a decorative Dog Tag, also to be passed out in December. Let’s help our kids improve their attendance, and answer the call of our Principal. According to the Newsletter, the students at Schafer Park continue to be truant and this is our incentive to help our kids come to school and succeed.

Box-Tops for Education: Please continue to bring in and save your Box Tops. The Primary classroom winner is Ms. Arendt, room 11, with 129 boxtops and the student in first place, primary grade is Jose Trujillo in room 24 who brought in 34 box tops! The Intermediate classroom winner is Mrs. Hemann, room 42, with 375 box tops and the student in first place, intermediate grade is Gage Baird in room 43 who brought in 190 box tops. Congratulations to all the winners! Prizes will be forthcoming. Thank you all for your help in this effort, to raise money for our school, helping our kids.
