August, 2003

• 18, Monday: Office already open: New Students can be registered at Schafer Park School
• 25, Monday: Teachers work all day to prepare.
• 26, Tuesday: First Day of Classes for Students

September, 2003

• 1, Monday - Labor Day Holiday -- No School
• 25, Thursday - Back to School Night 7 P.M.
• 26, Friday - Teacher training day - students do not attend school

October, 2003

• 1, Wednesday - Picture Day
• 3, Friday - Fundraiser money due for the Parent Club fundraiser
• 8, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 7:00 p.m.
• 19 - Progress reports may come out starting this week.
• 20, Monday - School Site Council - 3:00 p.m.
• 31, Friday, Halloween Parade -- begins at 9:45 A.M. - Party Day

November, 2003

• 10, Monday - Teacher training day - students do not attend school
• 11, Tuesday, Veteran's Day Holiday - no school
• 19, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m. Following the meeting,there will be a storytelling time for kids and adults.
• 20, Thursday: This is the last day of the first trimester. Assignments after this day count for the next grading period.
• 27 & 28, Thursday and Friday: Thanksgiving holiday - no school -- teachers work on report cards.

December, 2003

• 4, Thursday, Shortened day to begin Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 5, Friday - Parent/Teacher Conferences No school for students; Report cards are handed out during the conferences.
• 11, Thursday - Winter Concert for primary kids and chorus.
• 10, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 17, Wednesday, Winter Concert for Kindergarten through third grade.
• 19, Friday: Last day of school before the Christmas break.

January, 2004

• 5, Monday, School Resumes after Christmas break.
• 14, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 19, Monday, Martin Luther King Day Holiday
• 30, Friday - Teacher training day - students do not attend school

February, 2004

• 1 - Progress Reports may come out the first week or so of February
• 11, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 12, Thursday - party day for Valentine's Day
• 13, Friday, Lincoln's Birthday Holiday
• 16, Monday, Presidents Day Holiday
• 19, Thursday - Nurses will be here to do vision and hearing screening.

• 5, Friday, End of the Second Trimester - Report Cards Next Week!
• 10, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.

• 18, Thursday, and 19, Friday - Scholastic Book Fair

• 24, Wednesday, Parent Club presentation on helping your child with their homework.
• 26, Friday, Parent Club workshop on helping your preschooler

• 29, Monday -- Cesar Chavez Day (holiday) School is not in session on this day.

• 3, Saturday, Parent Club Flea Market Fund Raiser
• 7, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 8, Thursday, Parent Club sponsored assembly - fun with Physics.
• 12 - 16 Easter Week Holidays (school not in session)
• 25 - Progress reports may start coming out this week.

May, 2004

• 19, Wednesday, Open House - 7 P.M.
• 22, Saturday, Parent Club Flea Market
• 26, Wednesday, Volunteer Tea
• 31, Monday, Memorial Day Holiday

June, 2004

• 4, Friday - Sixth Grade trip to Angel Island.
• 9, Wednesday - "Play Day" fun and games for students - p.e. all day.- minimum day schedule.
• 10, Thursday - Last Day of School for students, Sixth Grade Promotion Ceremony - minimum day schedule.
• 11, Friday -- Teacher work day.

August, 2004 (estimated dates)

• 30, Monday, Teacher Work Day to prepare for the start of school.
• 31, Tuesday  School begins for students

September, 2004 (estimated dates)

• 6, Monday, Labor Day -- school is not in session. -- the next holiday will be Veteran's Day in November.
