August, 2004

• 23, Monday: Office already open: New Students can be registered at Schafer Park School
• 30, Monday: Teachers work all day to prepare.
• 31, Tuesday: First Day of Classes for Students

September, 2004 - CELDT tests given this month -

• 6, Monday - Labor Day Holiday -- No School
• 22, Wednesday - Back to School Night 7 P.M.
• 30, Thursday - Picture Day

October, 2004

• 1, Friday - Teacher training day - students do not attend school
• 11, Monday- Fundraiser money due for the Parent Club fundraiser
• 13, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 18 - Progress reports may come out starting this week.
•   School Site Council - 3:00 p.m.
• Halloween Parade -- begins at 9:45 A.M. - Party Day

November, 2004

• 1, Monday - Teacher training day - students do not attend school
• 11, 12, Thursday and Friday, Veteran's Day Holiday - no school
• 17, Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m. Hayward district staff will discuss the latest Standardized test results.
• 24, Wednesday: This is the last day of the first trimester. Assignments after this day count for the next grading period.
• 25 & 26, Thursday and Friday: Thanksgiving holiday - no school -- teachers work on report cards.

December, 2004

• 2, Thursday, Shortened day to begin Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 3, Friday - Parent/Teacher Conferences No school for students; Report cards are handed out during the conferences.
• Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 17, Friday: Last day of school before the Christmas break.

January, 2005

• 3, Monday, School Resumes after Christmas break.
• Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 17, Monday, Martin Luther King Day Holiday

February, 2005

• 1 - Progress Reports may come out the first week or so of February
• Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 11, Friday, Lincoln's Birthday Holiday
• 14, Monday - party day for Valentine's Day
• 21, Monday, Presidents Day Holiday

March, 2005

• 11, Friday, End of the Second Trimester - Report Cards Next Week!
• Wednesday, Parent Club Meeting at Schafer Park School - 6:30 p.m.
• 28, Monday through Friday April 1 -- Spring Recess (including Cesar Chavez Day)

April, 2005

• 25 - Progress reports may start coming out this week.

May, 2005

• Open House - 7 P.M.
• Wednesday, Volunteer Tea
• 30, Monday, Memorial Day Holiday

June, 2005

• 10, Friday - Sixth Grade trip to Angel Island.
• "Play Day" fun and games for students - p.e. all day.- minimum day schedule.
• 16, Thursday - Last Day of School for students, Sixth Grade Promotion Ceremony - minimum day schedule.
• 17, Friday -- Teacher work day.

August, 2005 (estimated dates)

• Teacher Work Day to prepare for the start of school.
•  School begins for students

September, 2005 (estimated dates)

• Monday, Labor Day -- school is not in session. -- the next holiday will be Veteran's Day in November.
